Conference Dinner

Date: Thursday 11th September 2008
Location: Choice between various dining venues in Melbourne CBD
Time: 7:30 pm – late
Cost: Various prices depending on your choice venue

Location 1: Manchester Lane

36 Manchester Lane, Melbourne 3000 VIC
Price: $55 pp excluding beverages

Housed in one of the beautiful old buildings off Flinders Lane, Manchester Lane is a classic supper club with a regular slate of world class jazz, blues, swing, soul and acoustic performers providing hot entertainment to accompany a cool, internationally inspired menu, in a relaxed yet sophisticated environment in the heart of Melbourne.

Location 2: Bluestone Restaurant

349 Flinders Lane, Melbourne 3000 VIC
Price: $60 pp excluding beverages

Within an historic old wool shed, in the centre of the city, Bluestone is one of Melbourne's brightest and most established stars.. A favourite for entertaining, Bluestone boasts a gorgeous dining room upstairs and a chic lounge area downstairs.

Location 3: Bokchoy Tang

Top Floor, Crossbar, Federation Square, Level 3
Flinders St (Cnr Swanston St), Melbourne 3000 VIC
Price: $45 pp excluding beverages

Giving a makeover to traditional Northern Chinese dishes, Bokchoy Tang serves tried and true steamed dishes, handmade noodles and dumplings, then ups the ante with organic meats (including the steamed spare ribs) and exotic noodles, like those in the Beijing duck and Shandong noodles with Chinese cabbage, ginger, bean shoots, chilli and spring onions. While you're enjoying your meal you can take in the fabulous CBD views from the third-floor position in Federation Square. (final menu to be advised)

Location 4: Kri Kri Mezethopoleion

39 - 41 Lt Bourke St, Melbourne 3000 VIC
Price: $60 pp Including beverages

This Greek restaurant is devoted to mezethes, which are small dishes. Ideal for sharing with friends. They obviously have a sense of humour at this mezze bar because Kri Kri is the name of a mountain goat in Greece that's almost extinct due to its popularity for the dinner table. It's not on the menu but zucchini fritters, marinated sardines and calamari are! (final menu subject to change)
