The site visits are an opportunity for therapists to come together, network and learn from each other. It will also provide occupational therapists from a variety of backgrounds to be exposed to a showcase of clinical services, specialist practices and benchmarking that may be outside their regular scope of experience or knowledge.
An OT from each organisation will meet the visiting delegates and provide a tour of the facility/unit. They will give an overview of the OT department in terms of methodology, client base, number of and description of current projects. The site visit would include the opportunity to meet with OTs at the facility/unit and discuss with them the differences in practices and projects.
